GOOD LUCK EVERYONE

OK Frost now you face a real racer - my daughter LorrieJen; the one who taught me everything i know about Pfrl. I am a Dane. My real name is Nielsen. LorrieJen is an American through and through.

She gets no help from me and needs none.

Start your engines.

Big Smile

@Alan Didn't mean to criticize anyone. I just think it is interesting to discuss such things. No need to agree with me, either, it's just interesting to see different ways to look at things. For example I also think it's a bit of a disadvantage if you already have smaller budget than your opponent and have to use part of your budget to hide components. But since that disadvantage in budget is based on results of previous races, I don't see it as unfair but as part of the game... and of course I prefer to go in a duel with an advantage myself, but also like to find a strategy so I will be able to beat stronger opponents. Of course this is easier to say having had a lucky streak for almost three seasons now. On the other hand I had a lot of bad luck in CRL in last two seasons, too, so...

Anyway, I wish you good luck and a lot of fun with this wonderful game, and most of all improvement of health to both you and your wife.

gee folks did not mean to start such a discussion just tried to be nice to kuhnase

none of it matters anyway cause i foolishly misunderstood this horrible new quali deal; got confused on the f1 website and made my picks after practice one so i am hosed anyway lol

dont misunderstand me i love this game; i am a very old fart and my wife and i are ill and this game helps me cope and keep going

so dont get the wrong idea; not trying to be a critic

@Alan_T_Riley, I think most competitors are fair in their approach on the Cup.

My big advice is to know your opponent. There are a few who are known to take the cheap route of copy-ERS in their battles and there is some responsibility on the other player to know they're up against that kind of person and to take necessary precautions (either updating late, using secrecy or doing a combination that the other can't copy due to insufficient budget/not enough changes).

hiding components
three million is too high when the opponent already has more cash in my opinion; just my opinion

@Alan Your opponent set up all their teams within less than 3 minutes, so there probably was not much time to think about sportsmanship. I wonder if they even realized that one team is in a cup fight against you. Will gladly stand corrected, but a sportsmanship award seems a bit exaggerated to me. I'm not a fan of meaningless duels that are decided before the race already, either, but hiding components is an effective weapon against this.

true sportsmanship
I must compliment Kuhnase my elimination round opponent. He has more money than i do. Rather than wait for me to pick and then copy me for an easy but meaningless certain win against me, he has elected to choose first so I dont have to wait up all night and try to make my picks in the last few seconds.

I HEREBY AWARD KUHNASE THE 2021 PFRL SPORTSMAN OF THE YEAR AWARD

@Alan_T_Riley In case mlagadms wins against Butler in Wildcard round, I will also face an opponent I already had in group games. But I also think it is rather an exception to meet again at such an early stage.

@CarlisleFrost You can be sure I also don't feel comfortable thinking about a potential duel with you so early on. But first I will have to concentrate on getting there. At the moment it looks pretty much 50/50 between us... what worries me is that your potential next opponent could be kawadge who by some weird fate managed to get 2nd place in their group despite having been inactive since race 8. Will have to hope LorrieJen will end their lucky streak so merely boosting your team for a possible meeting with me would be too risky.

@Alan_T_Riley, it's pretty rare, but is possible, as the draw is done by seedings from group performance. It could have even been crazier if you two had been in a wildcard round with the winner then having me!

Personally, I'm cursing being in the same quarter as GaKra. Schumacher probably has the most challenging quarter though. Superviper, FUTCHIVAI, Aston Martin, Flavio, agentP in there to name a few.
