  Enforced team changes
Could someone please tell me why my team's have been edited without any input from me?
The alterations are shown when I go to the edit team page without my having done anything. Furthermore, if I try to reset to my original selections it says that I am 34M overspent!

Now that's funny... the three players defending cost adjustments in here got first three places in this weekend's race. Does this make our arguments weaker now (because it's no wonder we have no problem with it if we win) or stronger (because a positive attitude towards the situation leads to better results)? I don't know, but I wonder what the odds were for this to happen...

we all roll with the same punches
geesh; cannot see what the big deal is; everyone is and has been treated equally per the published rules; all is well; nineteen races to go

some folks might want to search out a game where you just pick your favorite driver and car color

@Team Rocket Racing and Cloynes, this has happened in previous seasons when valuations were way out of whack with performance. Personally, I expected some adjustments this season, but was surprised how large some of the adjustments were.

GaKra is right that under the old costs, most teams were very, very similar, which does take away from the challenge. Leclerc, Bottas and Magnussen were pretty much everywhere, which really isn't much fun. While I was hoping for more cost increase opportunities to still be there for Imola (not many left after the changes!), I am looking forward to having to think harder on good team combinations for the future races.

I just mentioned what is relevant for the situation here. We all had the chance to make recommendations about the values before the season started, and values are based on the average of these suggestions. It would not have been the first time if Mercedes had sandbagged before the season... and as you can read, pre-season component cost adjustments are "optional", those after race 3 are "obligatory".

I can understand not everybody likes this, but it's not true that any rules were changed or bent mid-season. Also it will be more fun than if everybody had Leclerc/Magnussen or Leclerc/Bottas in their teams.

You failed to mention the paragraph before it. Changes should of happened after pre-season testing.

Optional extraordinary component cost adjustments after pre-season tests:
If necessary, the prices of Driver 1 and 2, Chassis or Engine components will be adjusted. Negative cash balances are cleared immediately by PureFantasyF1.net with automated team component changes. The players have enough time till the 1st race to rebuild their teams.

Extraordinary Cost Adjustments
Hmm I see.

My first reaction is that PFRL can stick it in their ear. But I will see what the rest of the league want to do. It has buggered up most teams because Charles was rather popular.

No, you can't change the rules in the middle of the season. However, you can find this in the rules:

4.2.5. EXTRAORDINARY COST ADJUSTMENTS:

...

Obligatory extraordinary component cost adjustments after 3rd race:
This regulation is valid for the components Team Principal, Driver 1 and 2, Chassis and Engine. The extraordinary adjustment is executed after the regular adjustment and can also be done without a change of the component costs. PPRL adjusts the component values which do not correspond to their current performance level. The prices of undervalued components will rise, the value of overrated components will be decreased.

...

So if this hasn't been done in last few years, then because originally chosen values were accurate enough to the situation after race 3.

I appreciate everything that Maverick does and the effort it must take to run PFRL, but you can’t change the rules half way through a season. I chose Leclerc & Haas from the pre-season testing results ready for the first race and I stuck with them hoping for their value to go up to improve my team like every other season.

Reason for extraordinary component cost adjustment is explained in news forum by Maverick. Automatic changes are just a suggestion and will be enforced only if someone doesn't change their team til the pit lane closes. You can find another way to get your budget in balance, of course.
