5. Scoring
5.1. General:
The scores are calculated after the chequered flag or after the end of the Qualifying from an official web site (as soon as the results are published). Changes because of disqualifications, grid penalties or something like that after the PFF1 database update do not have any influences on the PFF1 results anymore.

In real races with a Sprint Event, the result of the Qualiying is used from 2024 (same as in races without a Sprint Event) for the PFF1 Qualifying results.
5.2. Team principal:
Qualifying: The ranking is based on the average of the positions of both drivers from the assigned real racing team. In the case of an equal score the tie-breaker is the best single placement of a driver. Team principals in the top 3 (ranking) are awarded with points (3 / 2 / 1). One additional point is awarded, if at least one driver makes it into Q3 (place 1 ... 10). If both drivers from the assigned real racing team come in first and second, one bonus point is awarded.

Race: The ranking is based on the average of the positions of both drivers from the assigned real racing team. In the case of an equal score the tie-breaker is the best single placement of a driver. Team principals in the top 10 are awarded with points.

Bonus points: If both drivers from the assigned real racing team are classified, 5 bonus points are awarded.

Total points: Total points = Qualifying points + Race points + Bonus points

Maximal 20 points can be scored with this component.

5.3. Driver:
Qualifying: Driver in the top 10 are awarded with points (look at the table below).

Race: Points are only awarded for drivers classified in the official ranking. The number of laps down does not have an influence on this points. For every 10 completed laps, additionally 1 point is awarded (max. 5 points are possible). The points for completed laps are also awarded to retired drivers.

Bonus points in the race: The driver with the fastest race lap is awarded with 5 bonus points.

Total points: Total points = Qualifying points + Race points + Bonus points

Maximal 40 points can be scored with this component.

Qualifying: The ranking is based on the average of the positions of both drivers from the assigned real racing team. In the case of an equal score the tie-breaker is the best single placement of a driver.

Race: The scores for the 'real Chassis 1' and the 'real Chassis 2' are calculated in the same way as the component driver, but without consideration of the bonus points for the fastest race lap.
Race points = Score 'real Chassis 1' (the better placed one) *0,70 + Score 'real Chassis 2' *0,30

Total points: Total points = Qualifying points + Race points

Maximal 30 points can be scored with this component.
5.5. Engine:
General: The engine component can consist of one, two or three real racing teams. The racing teams are assigned at the beginning of the season according to the last Years Constructors standings and the entry list.

Qualifying: The ranking is made according to the average of the positions of the assigned drivers from the real racing teams. If the component consists of 3 real racing teams, the position average of 3 best-placed drivers from the assigned real racing teams plus the best-placed of the remaining 3 drivers is taken. In the case of an equal score the tie-breaker is the best single placement of a driver. The engine power loss is already deducted at the qualifying points.

Race: The race score is the sum of the ranking points (look at the table below) of the assigned drivers from the real racing teams. Retired drivers are not awarded with ranking points. If the component consists of 3 real racing teams, only the 3 best-placed drivers from the assigned real racing teams plus the best-placed of the remaining 3 drivers are scoring. For completed race laps no points are awarded.

Limited life period, power loss: The life period of an engine component is 7 races per season. An engine does not have to be used continuously. A slight power loss occurs during the life period of an engine (see table below). A defective engine does not generate points. The same engine component can be used in a maximum of 7 races per season. Defective engines are replaced automatically by the system after the database closing time in case of inactive Amateur or Pro accounts.

Penalty points: An engine blow-up in the race leads to 3 minus points. If the exchange of the power train (or a part of it) causes a grid penalty for the driver from an assigned real racing team, 3 minus points are awarded. Per race 6 minus points at most can be subtracted (If the component consists only of 1 real racing team: maximal 1x engine blow-up and 1x grid penalty).

Total points: Total points = Qualifying points - Power loss + Race points - Penalty points

Maximal 34 points can be scored with this component.

5.7. Bonus points (Tips):
Qualifying: Each team owner is able to guess the Qualifying positions of his 3 drivers prior to each race. The selections are not carried forward from race to race and must be selected at each race. 5 bonus points are awarded for each correct selection.

Race: Each team owner is able to guess the fastest lap time of the next race. An accurately guessed fastest race lap time is awarded with 5 bonus points. The score is decreased by 0.01 points per every thousandth difference. For the bonus points calculation the places after the comma are cut off (e. g.: 4.97 = 4 bonus points). No minus points are awarded.

Maximal 20 points can be scored with correct tips.
5.8. ERS (only for Experts):
ERS is only available for the playing ability Expert. The wanted score is limited by the selected engine component:

Formula 'Discharge' or 'Recharge': Engine score / 3 (rounded to zero dezimal places)
Formula 'Overtake Button': (Engine score / 3 (rounded to zero dezimal places)) + 5 points

Minus points: Recharge ERS in the race: maximal -10 points; ERS Penalty after replacement 3: -15 points per replacement; Defective ERS: -10 points per race

Maximal 16 points can be scored with this component.
