Qualifying points and overall standings tie breakers Copyright Philip Widmer Lindeman 2024 A good qualifying result should be rewarded. Three pts. for first, Two pts. for second, and one pt. for third will be added to your race day points total after each event. The PFRL qualifying results posting during each weekend will be used to determine these points so any ties will be determined by the Pure Fantasy F1 rules. These qualifying points will not be used to determine your weekly finishes in each race. They will only be added to the overall results each race. Also tie breaker in overall standings will be team PFRL World Championship Standings not your fast lap prediction.

2020 rules carried over to 2024 Copyright Philip Widmer Lindeman 2024 2002 Points 1st 10 Pts, 2nd 6 Pts, 3rd 4 Pts, 4th 3 Pts, 5th 2 Pts, 6th 1 Pts Will be posting standings in a points system where you receive points based on your finishing position in this league in each race. Points system used up till 2002 is applied to award your points. Fastest laps speed prediction in each race will be the tie breaker. If still tied overall position in PFRL World Championship after each race will break the tie. Tie breaker in overall standing will be overall position in the Pure Fantasy F1 World Championship standings.

One team only per owner rule One team only per owner If you have more than one team only one will be participating it the points system I will be posting. Your highest finishing team in the Bahrain GP (The first race) will be the one included in the reminder of the season in my points system. If your teams tie fastest lap time prediction will be first tie breaker. If still tied, position listed in the Pure Fantasy F1 World Championship after the Bahrain GP will break the tie. Abandoned team rule for 2024. Copyright Philip Widmer Lindeman 2024 Abandoned teams were a blight on this league in 2022. Here is the rule implemented to fix this problem. If you select the match up tab at top of page while on the 2002 Pts League CGP V page, you can select any team you like in two columns to compare them. In the upper right-hand corner, you can select which race you what info shown for the teams selected. The last line at the bottom shows when the team updated their picks for the race selected. If this line is blank, this team, for the race selected, has not updated their team. This is where I will get to info to determine if your team is eligible for any race, qualifying or bonus points. Your team will not be eligible for any bonus point if you do not update your picks before two (2) consecutive races. This means you are not eligible for points for you drivers finishing 14, 17 or last. Also, no points for your chassis component’s drivers finishing in the last two spots. If your number 1 or number 2 (not 3rd driver) picks for the race finish in last two places you will not be eligible for these bonus points either. You can still get race and qualifying points. If you do not update your teams for 3 consecutive races you cannot get any points whatsoever. If you have not updated your team for 5 consecutive races you will be removed from my standings and will not be allowed to participate any further. I always make my picks as soon as possible after practice 2 and I encourage you to do the same. The PFRL site glitched in 2022 near the start of PF3 and many did not get their picks in. There will be not allowances made for picks not made for site glitches.

Rules for 2024 Copyright Philip Widmer Lindeman 2024 And away we go! All race circuits that were on the 2002 F1 schedule, the last year that the point system I use in this league was used in real life, and in my opinion are the six least changed circuits since 2002, will have the points system inverted for all positions. These circuits are Australian, Monaco, Canadian, Austrian, Monza, and Suzuka. This means that at these races the points system will be, 1st-1 pt., 2nd-2 pts., 3rd-3 pts., 4th-4 pts., 5th-6 pts., 6th-10 pts. Hungary and Spa are the next two least changed circuits in my opinion. At my discretion one of these can be substituted if one or more of the six races listed does not take place. While some other countries had a race in 2002 and may qualify, they are not on this list because their 2024 race is at a different circuit. Bonus points will be rewarded for number 1 and number 2 drivers (not 3rd driver) if they finish in the 14th or 17th position of the cars that started the race. Four points will be rewarded for each number 1 and number 2 (not 3rd driver) from your roster in each race that finishes in these positions. Fourteen and seventeen are my favorite car numbers. If your number 1 or number 2 (not 3rd driver) from your roster in each race finishes last of the cars that started the race on the race season's governing bodies official site's results they will also receive four points. An the final bonus points system possibility is that if your roster in a race includes a chassis component that has both their drivers finish in the last two places of the cars that started the race your team will receive ten points. This will also apply if your number 1 and number 2 drivers both finish in the last two positions of the drivers that started the race. If this happens you will NOT receive the 4-point bonus for your driver finishing last. All "Did not starts" and drivers final positions (classified or not) will be determined by the official season's governing bodies site's results.
